Turrell Building has always applied the thought of “good design is at the forefront to a quality construction”. The managing director Neil Turrell has always had a great passion for design excellence and strives to realise a design to the physical built space through a high standard construction and to achieve it at the most economical manner for the client.

Since design is the start of a building project, it is imperative that you can place your trust in a designer that can interoperate and communicate a design brief in order to deliver an ascetic and constructible Design. It is crucial that the designer can incorporate the target budget along with the brief.

At Turrell Building we consult with the designers that we have worked closely with for many years that are tried and tested and can deliver on our passion for quality, efficient builds and aesthetically pleasing and to the standard our clients expect. We work in conjunction with the designers to help manage the output of the product in order to ensure this sits in line with the client’s vision.

1) Our first consultation

In order to establish the project at hand, Turrell Building will meet with you to discuss project brief and budget. Within this meeting we determine the size and inclusions required along with the cost of works in order to determine if the project is feasible.

2) Brief Documentation and Design Scope

Working with you (the Client), Turrell Building will formalise and document a clear and concise design brief. This brief will include essentials like Style, size, Budget, room inclusions and some ideas on external finishes. From this an obligation free design quotation will be issued to design and document a concept based on the project brief. There will be plenty of scope for you and the designer to put your own design flare into the project.

3) Concept Design

Upon acceptance of the Design Quote, we put together our first concept draft. This then is progressed until you are satisfied, and the plans show enough detail to put together a building estimate. The design will include the required floor plans, 1 or 2 elevations and external 3D images in order to convey the ideas behind your bespoke design.

4) Final concept and Feasibility meeting

Upon the design meeting its expectations, it is time to meet and discuss any final adjustments prior to Quoting. This is also used as a checkpoint to ensure the budget target is still on track.

5) Tendering stage

Depending on the complexity engineering may be required in order to be highly accurate in our builders costing. This is to remove any of the structural unknowns and ensure no cost blow outs! From this. Turrell Building with then meticulously put together a detailed building quotation tailored to your design and selections. This is delivered through a meeting to go through the quote and answer any questions you may have. In our experience no question is a silly question as we know trust is imperative to our product.

6) Approvals and Working Drawings

Turrell Building has now the pleasure of bringing your dream home from paper to life! It is now time to detail the plans ready for construction and relevant authority approvals. Turrell Building works closely with your designer to ensure the construction details are worked out and ready to submit to either council or a private certifier.

7) Interior Design Selections

Now that your plans are either in council or with a private certifier, we use this time to make all your final internal selections. Turrell Building incorporates an in-house interior designer and colour consultant to help make the materials and colour selections easy. We guide you through the types of materials and help to manage the selections to ensure your overall finish is harmonious!

8) Contract signing and Construction Commencement

Turrell Building has now the pleasure of bringing your dream home from paper to life! It is now time to detail the plans ready for construction and relevant authority approvals. Turrell Building works closely with your designer to ensure the construction details are worked out and ready to submit to either council or a private certifier.
