Planning was key to a successful build with this addition, overcoming obstacles such as the common wall on one side and limited access from the street. The sub-flooring was strengthened to accommodate the new structure, and the old plumbing was upgraded to match. Clever design factors have been added to ensure that – despite the limited space – the home is made to feel expansive. Hiding the laundry under the stairs is one example, and coupled with quality fixtures and finishes, the original home is now cunningly blended with the new build. The result is a light-filled, stylish and spacious home, and one to be proud of.
